Bad Gasoline Caused Fuel Gauges to Stick
From: Harold K.
Subject: Bad Gasoline
Bobby,
Last year we had a problem with some VERY BAD gasoline that caused the fuel gauges to stick. Since then, the car has been getting very poor mileage. Has a simple 4-cylinder engine. Was wanting to know if you could tell me what needs to be done to improve this.
Thanks.

Harold,
This problem was caused by excessive sulfur in fuels. This chemical damaged the silver contacts in the gauge. You can add a can of BG 44K (buy from local shop) to one tank of gas each 6 months. Ultimately, if your gas gauge was damaged, it will have to be replaced.
Sincerely,
