BG helps forklift transmissions
This is a true story and I am not being paid or even encouraged to relate this, but only doing so because of my belief in your superb products.
Back in the 1970s, I ran a large lumber mill in Afton, Wyoming. With our mill crew and our loggers, we had almost 400 people employed. Inside the sawmill itself we used four propane powered Cat forklifts to move the units of lumber out to the dry kilns, and to feed the planer and stack lumber.
In the winter, they ran fine with the cooling fan blowing through the radiator right onto the operators' legs. But in the summer the operators would be overcome with engine heat. So in the summer we had to reverse the cooling fans, drawing the heat away from the operator, but also drawing the cooling air away from the radiator. The result was that in the summer we frequently burned up the automatic transmissions on our forklifts, often enough that we always kept two rebuilt spare transmissions in the shop. We used all four of those forklifts hard for about 12 or more hours, five and sometimes six days a week. We couldn't afford to be without one for long with a breakdown. It was costly, but it was our only choice.
But one day I got a call from my shop foreman, Curly Abbott. He said, If you have a minut,e come out to the shop. There is a guy here and I want you to see his demonstration. So I went to the shop, our big shop with a crew of seven. The guy was selling BG's products, and he had a transmission additive he was demonstrating. He had a half-horsepower electric motor mounted on a steel plate and a hinged bar that he could pull down across the shaft of the electric motor. He plugged in the motor and when it was up to speed, he pulled the bar down across the bare spinning shaft of the motor and easily stalled the motor. Then he tried it with motor oil on the shaft. It took a little more effort, but he easily stalled the motor. Then he put STP on the motor shaft and tried it again. STP, at that time, was big stuff. They even sponsored an Indy race car or two and other races and cars. But he still easily stalled the motor by pushing down on the bar, causing friction on the motor shaft. Finally, he wiped the motor shaft dry and put some of the BG's transmission additive on the shaft. We all took turns bearing down on that bar against the motor shaft, BUT WE COULD NOT STALL THE MOTOR AS LONG AS THERE WAS A COATING OF BG'S ON THE MOTOR SHAFT!
Were we impressed? Better believe it! The upshot, to make an already long story short, was that once we started using BG in our Cat forklift transmissions we NEVER burned out another transmission! It saved us a lot of down time and a lot of money. True story.
And of course we used ALL the BG's products after that, and years later, after the environmentalists put us and most of the other sawmills in Western America out of business, I personally continued using BG's oil additive and gas addditive, buying it by the case, and using it to good results in my pickup as well as my Porsche 911sc. Very fine products. Now my service is all done by Carpenter Auto of Ogden, Utah.
