Keep Filter During Fluid Change?

From: Bill S.
Subject: Transmisssion Service

Bobby,

I have a 2000 Durango, approx. 50,000 miles. It has not had a transmission service before. Some shops say they do not drop the pan and replace the filter unless the fluid appears dark and/or burned, which it does not. They would flush out all old fluid, and one shop would use BG products which I know you recommend. Under the circumstances, is it ok to not drop the pan and simply flush with new fluid? If so, should I insist on cleaning with BG products? I have had no problems with the transmission, and I am a very conservative driver.

Thank You.

Bill,

BG services use special chemicals to dissolve plaque and other contaminants from systems treated, followed by special conditioners that add life to seals and help valve body pistons (or solenoids) work more smoothly.

By performing the BG transmission service early in the life of your vehicle, your filter can stay as is. Don’t forget to flush other systems as well. Go to www.CarClinicNetwork.com or click the BG link for a list of all related services.

Quite honestly, I know of no service (specifically, BG’s chemistry) that compares to BG’s.

Sincerely,
Bobby Likis
