Lexus Power Steering

Hi Bobby,
First let me tell you I LOVE your show! Now, the problem. My husband is an entertainer so we travel on cruise ships most all year. That means we drive a car very seldom. About 3 months ago we purchased a used Lexus to use on the occasions that we're home. The alternator went out last month, and we had a mechanic replace it. (The car has 93,000 miles on it, but really great condition) But now, it's making noise when I turn the wheel. The power steering unit is full of fluid. The mechanic just looked at it by raising the hood and told me the power steering unit is going out. How could he know without extensive looking? My son said it's possible he tightened the belt too tight when he replaced the alternator. Or he said it's also possible I need a new belt. Or, maybe it is a new power steering unit that's needed. Well, I live in Las Vegas, NV and haven't found a REALLY trustworthy mechanic. Could it, in fact, just be a belt? How can I find out? Should I try another mechanic for a second opinion? Please advise!
Thanks,
Cheryl

Power steering pumps are known to go bad on Lexus vehicles. The whole system must be flushed because it has contaminated fluid within. That’s why we recommend the BG chemistry, as it’s designed to remove certain toxins from mechanical system.
Go to www.bgfindashop.com to locate shops near you with the BG services. Call a few to check out which ones want your business.
Sincerely,
