Bobby,

Can you help me with my 2000 Ford F-150 8-cylinder? My truck is running rough, so I took it to the Ford dealer for a check-up. They said one of my coil packs is bad, and one spark plug is bad. So I had them both replaced, but my truck still runs rough. I changed the fuel filter, had a fuel injection clean and did a second fuel filter change, but the truck still runs rough. Help me if you can.

There are many potential causes for and sources of your engine misfire. Ford has had problems with coils (so you may have to ultimately replace all the coils), and at Car Clinic Service, we have found a serious ring seizure in Fords that causes unequal compression from carbon under the rings. We use the BG Performance Oil Change treatment for our Ford owners. Add Quick Clean (part no. 105) to the old oil and run for 10 minutes. Then change the oil & filter and add BG MOA®.
