Power Steering Noise

Bobby,

Car has 64,000 miles. Now when turning, it makes a noise like the power steering fluid is low. I had the belt and steering checked but found nothing. Any ideas?

My van made similar noises at 70K miles. We flushed all power steering fluid (on T&C van, we had to remove the reservoir to remove all fluid which is not necessary on all vehicles) and that corrected all noise. What we learned is that fluid exchanges every 30K miles all but prevents breakdowns - and provides superior performance and component life.
